La Dolce Vita

Yesterday was a sunny day. It has been sunny recently, but yesterday it was different because it wasn't windy. This epoch of season change affects the weather like this. So, because of that, I decided to hop on a train and just go. Go far away, go see life happen by the sea. I live by the sea, but the beaches here are quite small; I wanted to see how life happens at cities where it happens differently.
And so I went. Right after I arrived, one hour after I had left, I went to see the city itself, and entered a public park. I love going to these public parks, where people go to read a book, feel the sun and the fresh air, and let children play freely, without the constraints that modern society has been forcing on us every day. And as soon as I entered the park, I saw a mother lying down reading a book, her son sitting next to her drawing on paper; I saw some friends playing basketball; and I saw a bunch of kids riding their bikes. This is what life should be like; it made me very happy to see them enjoy their days.
I kept on walking. I reached the coast, and decided to sit down and relax. I had some bread with me, and a bottle of water, so I found a good spot and sat down. While I ate my bread, I looked at the sea to see some boats floating far away, sailing; I saw a father with his sons; I saw children running and digging holes; and I saw people playing with a ball. As I felt more relaxed, I started to understand why people seem so happy around here: you can't feel so stressed when this is how you live. I am loving this.
I kept on walking. I walked straight through the coast until I reached the next city. And when I got there, I decided to walk along the coast through the beach, and not on the sidewalks. This was a good exercise on my knees, which have been suffering for the last ten years or so, and are finally starting to heal as I walk more and more. I walked about half the beach on the sand, and another half on the sidewalk. It brought me a lot of joy seeing the families, and the children, and people running with their dogs. It makes me want to live like this forever, and have my own family to enjoy moments like this with them. When I have my own children, this is how I want them to grow up: happy and free.
I guess this text is more of a reminder: enjoy life, don't just stay closed in a room. If you have a safe place to go for a walk on a sunny day, go for it, and see life happening around you. There is nothing healthier to the mind than just living a healthy life with good people around you. And I think we should all work together to build a world where it is safe for everyone to live like this. With our combined efforts, I truly believe we can make this world a better place.
